I Am More Than My Thumb Thesis Project

I Am More Than My Thumb is a body-based interface experiment seeking to engage the entire body for the game Cloud. It was designed and executed in fulfillment of the MFA candidacy at the University of Southern California, Cinema-Television, Interactive Media Division.

The audience member wears a gown with LEDs sewn into it. The LEDs are tracked by the phasespace optical motion capture system. A game engine uses the real-time feed from the mocap system to control Cloud Boy (the in-game character).
